Review Managed, VIP series by Kristen Callihan

Title: Managed
Author: Kristen Callihan
Series: VIP
Release Date: November 14th 2016

Synopsis

It started off as a battle of wits. Me: the ordinary girl with a big mouth against Him: the sexy bastard with a big...ego.

I thought I’d hit the jackpot when I was upgraded to first class on my flight to London.

That is until HE sat next to me. Gabriel Scott: handsome as sin, cold as ice. Nothing and no one gets to him. Ever. He’s a legend in his own right, the manager of the biggest rock band in the world, and an arrogant ass who looks down his nose at me.

I thought I’d give him hell for one, long flight. I didn’t expect to like him. I didn’t expect to want him. But the biggest surprise? He wants me too. Only in a way I didn’t see coming.

If I accept his proposal, I leave myself open to falling for the one man I can’t manage. But I’m tempted to say yes. Because the real man beneath those perfect suits and that cool façade just might be the best thing that’s ever happened to me. And I just might be the only one who can melt the ice around his heart.

Let the battle begin…

Review by Iza

I should have read this book sooner.

Why?

Because it's awesome! I read The Game Plan and The Hook Up by Ms. Callihan and well, they were really good - heck, The Game Plan was one of my top reads for 2015 and oh, Dex, I fell for him like that - but Managed may be even better. Or just as good as The Game Plan, because I'm sensing it will be added to my top reads for this year.

Let me tell you a little bit about the book, no spoilers.

Heroine? So funny and quirky!

Hero? British, jerk but man, once we get to know him - thanks to Sophie - he's such a major softie like you wouldn't believe!

He may appear to be cold and closed-off - well, he kind of is the latter - but it's for a reason. As the story progresses, we find out so many things about him and of course it all makes sense. Does one still want to smack him once or twice? Sure. He's a stubborn hotheaded man, after all.

Thing is, once someone scales that large wall he built around himself, there's no going back. And Sophie, as crazy and relentless as she is, does exactly that. Their banters and back-and-forth always made me grin or laugh. They have to be one of my fave fictional couples.

I do recommend this book and I will reread it a few more times. I'm giving this 5 solid stars and I really can't wait to read more, no matter what book will be next, whose story will be told next.
